2019 – First reviews of The Walnut Tree villa

First reviews of 2019

Mid May 2019 and our first guests arrived.   The photograph below shows what awaited them.

For colour and scent, spring and autumn in Kefalonia (Kephalonia) are hard to beat.  During our planning of the garden at The Walnut Tree, top of the list was obviously colour and scent and even more important, bee friendly.

We sometimes feel a bit guilty that our summer guests do not see our garden (and the island) in these ‘out of season’ times.  Not this year.  In fact, the garden is now maturing nicely being over thirteen years old.  The planning, planting and nurturing is just coming good.  Such a pleasure!

Even more pleasure for us when we read the reviews coming from our first guests.  Mostly they mention that the garden has been part of their joy in time spent at the villa.

Here are excerpts from The Walnut Tree’s 2019 reviews:

Mike and Ann (May 2019)

‘We had a wonderful time staying here with the four children and two grandchildren. …….. The extensive grounds … made it easy to relax away from the general hubbub if required..

Paul and Maureen (May/June 2019)

We were in Kefalonia for our daughters wedding and the day after the wedding we had a post wedding party at the Villa……The Villa is large enough and the grounds are vast and everyone had a very nice time. The Walnut tree is a great Villa for a family holiday.’

Sarah and Peter (June)

‘….. the villa feels so secluded and private yet so close to everything you need. The villa was incredibly clean, really well sized and even a welcome pack of goodies. Our children rarely left the pool, it really is the perfect size.’

John and Julie (June)

‘The villa and gardens were a delight and the pool was a perfect “playground” for the 5 children. We had a few barbecues, made pizzas in the oven and enjoyed Greek breakfasts all week on the patio – it was heaven.

I would also like to say that Adrian and Caroline were extremely helpful and friendly, which ensured the holiday was a very relaxing and stress free experience.’
