Inside The Walnut Tree

THE LIVING ROOM

Downstairs living

At The Walnut Tree villa, we aim to make our guests as comfortable as possible. When considering the furnishings for the interior, we wanted an uncluttered and simple ‘feel’ using natural shades with a few blocks of colour. The high ceilings on the ground floor certainly help to keep the impression we wanted of light and air.

KITCHEN AREA AND UTILITY ROOM

Kitchen area

As an ex-caterer, my kitchen was always going to be an important part of the villa. I wanted to have as an efficient kitchen space as possible.

Not everyone wants to cook on holiday although for some this is just part of the experience. Tracking down different and interesting ingredients and cooking for a crowd in a leisurely way; this sounds like my sort of relaxing.

So at The Walnut Tree, you will find equipment to cover most eventualities whether it is a mass fry-up for breakfast, good old roast for Sunday evenings or a bit of experimenting. Our knives are sharp, chopping boards at the ready ….. let’s cook!

The utility room has two washing machines, drying racks, ironing board and an iron – with direct access to the garden so washing can be dried outside or inside.

THE BEDROOMS

To continue the theme of light and air, we have used natural fabrics throughout the bedrooms. There are good size beds, good quality cotton or linen/cotton mix bed linen, light coloured curtains and simple furniture.
