We often receive enquiries regarding accommodation for wedding celebrations on Kefalonia.  There are several locations on the island that are regularly chosen for that special day – both the wedding ceremony and the wedding feast!

In 2016 we had the pleasure of welcoming a family from Wales, who booked The Walnut Tree villa as their base for their son’s wedding in Assos – a popular choice.  

In 2019 a bride and her family stayed at The Walnut Tree for the week before and during the wedding.  The wedding ceremony was at Aghia ………. above Sami and the reception was held at ………….. beside Antisamos Beach.

The day after the wedding the bride’s family hosted a lunch party at The Walnut Tree villa for 120 – with local caterers providing the feast and all equipment needed to make the day a great success.

We recommend Nefeli-Anait Taverna in Assos.  We love the family that run this place, we love the food – and we have seen how they prepare for the weddings that have booked here.  The setting is purely Greek, purely beautiful …..

The Walnut Tree is often the choice for families wanting to mark the occasion of big birthdays and special wedding anniversaries, holidaying and celebrating together and booking the villa for a week or longer.

Both To Perasma (Ag Efimia) and The Mermaid (Sami) arrange anniversary/birthday cakes for those special evenings and there is always an extra surprise awaiting their guests celebrating a big day!  We can also recommend the bakeries in Sami and Aghia Efimia to design and make beautiful individual celebration cakes.
